Terms of Use
By downloading or using MoodMatch, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Who We Are
MoodMatch ("we", "our", "us") is a book recommendation app operated by Ahmet Bilal Özgün. These Terms of Use govern your use of the MoodMatch mobile app and website at moodmatch.live.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use MoodMatch. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You may not share your account or create accounts on behalf of others without permission.
- Notify us immediately at ahmet.bilal.ozgun12@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
- MoodMatch offers an auto-renewing subscription. Subscription details, pricing, and trial terms are shown on the paywall screen before purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- No refunds are issued for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.
- Free trials, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the app or its API without written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the app or its infrastructure.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription requirements or other restrictions.
6. Affiliate Links
MoodMatch earns a commission when you purchase a book through affiliate links (Amazon, Audible, Bookshop.org). These links are how we fund the app. The price you pay is not affected. We only recommend books based on your taste profile — affiliate relationships do not influence recommendation order.
7. Intellectual Property
All content in MoodMatch — including the recommendation algorithm, UI design, and branding — is owned by or licensed to MoodMatch. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of it without written permission. Book covers, titles, and metadata are the property of their respective publishers and authors.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
MoodMatch is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that recommendations will match your taste perfectly, that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any book will be available through affiliate partners.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoodMatch is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any unused subscription period except where required by law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will notify you via the app or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
